As the Worship Leader for Students, you will inspire and lead High School, Junior High, and 5th-6th grade students in worship during weekly services, MDWK, events, etc.. This role involves crafting meaningful worship experiences, resourcing and equipping volunteer teams, and preparing for large-scale events. Your leadership will foster a celebratory, Anthemic with space for moments type of worship for the next generation.

What you will do…
Visionary Leadership:
- Drive the vision for the student worship ministry, aligning it with the overall mission and values of the church.
- Engage with students in a way that makes worship accessible, meaningful, and exciting.
Weekly Worship:
- Plan and lead worship for High School, Junior High, and 5th-6th grade gatherings.
- Coordinate and resource worship team volunteers, ensuring readiness for each weekly service.
Large Event Preparation:
- Organize and lead worship for large events, retreats, and conferences.
- Collaborate with the Creative Arts and Student Ministries teams to ensure a cohesive worship experience.
Volunteer Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer worship team members.
- Provide spiritual and musical development opportunities for students and volunteers.
Creative Stewardship:
- Ensure worship content aligns with the church’s vision and values while being relevant to the student audience.
- Maintain a high standard of musical and technical excellence.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Student Ministries team to create an integrated worship experience.
- Partner with the Creative Arts department to align student worship with the broader church context.
An ideal candidate has:
- Passion for both worship and youth
- Strong vocal and instrumental proficiency with the ability to lead worship effectively.
- Knowledge of music theory and the ability to communicate with musicians of varying skill levels.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with students.
- Must be or become a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship who supports the vision and values.
Experience:
- Previous experience leading worship, preferably in a student ministry context.
- Experience recruiting, training, and managing volunteers.
- Familiarity with worship technology, including sound systems, ProPresenter, and lighting equipment.
- 2+ years’ experience (volunteer or staff) in a large church setting
Personal Life:
- Model biblical integrity and character in all aspects of life (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9).
- Demonstrate a passion for worship and a heart for leading students in their faith journey.
- Cultivate healthy relationships and model biblical community within the church and personal life.
Work Schedule:
- This is a part-time role with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to accommodate student services and events.
- Participation in weekly team meetings and occasional staff events is required.
