Childcare Hourly Staff

“Our Childcare team supports our ministry events while helping our kids begin their spiritual journey.”

This is a great opportunity for a high-energy people who love Jesus and kids to use their creativity in a fun, Christ-centered environment, sharing God’s love and teaching children at Cornerstone during weekly ministry events.  This role oversees the safety, care and instruction of children laying a spiritual foundation for our children with “purposeful play” in our Infant/Toddler areas and add more to our programming for each age group’s developmental abilities.
 

Who you are:

You are someone who is creative, fun, and organized. You will work with a team in providing a safe, structured, and fun environment. You are a Christian and able to articulate Christian principles and the lesson designed for that particular age group.  You have experience working with children in a childcare setting.

You should lead by example and help cultivate a positive experience for all the children, families and staff. You will represent Christ and His church well in the community at large.  You are a team player and follow the biblical model of sacrifice by being willing to put the needs of others in front of your own. In all your actions, you should be supportive of the Doctrine, Core Values and the Vision of our church.
 

What you will do:

• Prior to arrival look over curriculum and be prepared to implement it
• Arrive on time and attend prayer/Info meeting and adhere to all policies and procedures each shift
• Set up classroom and curriculum centers
• Work as a staff team to implement lesson plans and classroom routines
• Clean and sanitize classrooms
• Attend meetings/trainings as necessary (1 a semester)
• Assist with additional responsibilities as needed
• Upon hire commit to a minimum of 1 full semester
• Request all time off and/or resignations in writing and with 2 weeks’ notice
   

Experience you have:

• Experience working/volunteering in childcare settings.
• You are a Christian.
• Being dependable in a work environment.
• Clear communication skills.
